Colette Hudes believes in the importance of providing a comfortable, safe space for people to recover. She recognizes the difficulty and necessity of integrating therapeutic treatment into everyday life, as well as helping families heal and move forward in a positive, healthy direction. Working at dWELL allows her to help young adults cross the bridge to independence.
Colette believes in the power of authenticity to help clients formulate their vision for meaningful, autonomous lives. She has passionately devoted over a decade to working with individuals in recovery, aiding and empowering residents to live happily and successfully in a multitude of areas. She is experienced in areas of conflict-resolution and relationship-management, navigating difficult conversations, and helping residents develop the life skills to lead productive, meaningful lives with strong interpersonal relationships.
Colette has a B.A. from Hofstra University, and, in addition to her work in the recovery community, has expertise in advertising, manufacturing, public relations, and sales from her work in the fashion and beauty industries. Drawing on her professional experience in these fields, Colette is skilled at helping individuals find and pursue careers that suit their interests. She has worked closely with people in recovery, including those with mental health challenges, learning disabilities, and substance use disorders.
Colette has a degree in French Literature, as well as a love for fashion history, crossword puzzles, and her Westie Ralphie (known around the neighborhood as Prince Ralph). In her spare time, she appreciates going to the Ballet or catching a Knicks game.
